The Yam is lovely to ride but values in the UK not that strong - reckon the T500 is worth twice the Yam. Still, not for sale!

Are you from South Devon or just visiting? I am a Paignton expat living near Huntingdon these days. I am in need of a seat and indicators so might be interested on your cast offs

Just spent a load of cash on chroming with Marque Restore in Coventry lovely work but need to economise on a fews things that can be improved later.
I used ..Marque Restore back in the day..( when he was cheap ) very good work, but prices shot up, so stopped using him.. family run business even drove up to them to collect my chroming for my old Mercedes as no one would pick up the phone. ( not got it now ) gave him another try, & tried to give him some GT750 rimes I took to Stafford show, he has a stall there. He wanted to charge me £120 + vat a rim??? ( Why ) I passed on those.. :(

When I shopped arround Ashford Chroming gave me a price of £180 for a rim, £120+vat seems not too bad. I think the days of cheap chrome are long gone. Cost of waste disposal; efluant treatment; insurance with what is a labour intensive activity have driven costs up for everyone. I guess the commerical platers doing large volumes will be cheaper, but never found one who does restoration work. Who is your top tip for chrome work?

I dealt with with Julia at Marque Restore by email and found communication fine, no more than a few hours to reply during the working day. Emailed me when the job was done, and was happy for me to collect as I was in the area the following week with work. Most of all the finsih is great.

Next project will defo be a cafe / flat tracker / bobber the wallet can't stand another chrome ridden 70's bike
