Cruzinimage brake lines

Cruzinimage brake lines
SUCK! Big time. An unexpected set back. Damn things leak all over the place. Way back when there was a discussion about this, I took my lines to the bench vise and got all the fittings as tight as possible. Bled the brakes with a Mighty-Vac till the line was full. Then started to work the lever and fluid shot everywhere.It's coming out of the first fitting past the master cylinder. *%#\+=Z** It was the very last thing to do to finish the bike. Now I'm set back at least another week while I look for something else. I want a single braided SS line
A word to the wise to anyone considering these lines. Let Cruzinimage keep them.

I just ordered a braided stainless line from 2wheelpros.com. They offer lines from 18-34 in 2 inch increments. All their lines are $35.99, regardless of length. The only drawback is the lines come with a clear jacket. No color options (I would have much preferred black). The site says the line will ship tomorrow, so I should be back on track later this week. Comes out of Calif. I ordered 30". I hope it's long enough.

Well, my new braided SS line doesn't leak. Imagine that. I have a question really.
Several year ago on this forum, I read that if you zip tie your brake lever back overnight, it will bleed the last little bit of air out of the system. Any truth to that?
I ask because I am working sans helper. I used the Nighty-Vak to do the bleed, but I can't do the final few lever squeeze/ open and close the valve alone.

I have done that before. Turn handlebar all the way to the left to get MC as high as possible. Let it sit overnight at least.

Used the vise first off. I didn't squeeze the fittings. I'm not THAT dumb. I just used it to hold one fitting while I turned it's mate. The first fitting down from the MC (near the lower tree) leaked profusely. I noticed before assembly that the male 'cone' appeared to be off center. If it had held, it may have leaked further down the line. All the fittings looked poorly made - especially for high pressure use.
The reason I went to the vise first is because I had read where others had to re-tighten to stop them from leaking. So I figured I'd nip it in the bud buy getting the joints as tight as possible. Working with 2 wrenches was awkward, so I went to the vice and used it as my second wrench. Again, I didn't squeeze the fittings in the vise. I just used it for anti-rotation.

Early last night I cinched the brake lever back with a zip tie. Then I turned it full left as Lane suggested and left it. This morning I tapped along the hose with a screwdriver shank. Waited about an hour a did it again.
I just now turned the bars straight, cut the zip tie and let the lever out very slowly. Wow! The brake is rock solid with around 1/4 pull. Tried to pump it up from there and it doesn't move up any at all. That trick worked great

I suppose it could be just a fluke. Pearljam and Bill in OKC are both using those lines. Both had trouble but both were able to resolve the problem by re-tightening the junctions. I haven't even looked at mine. I was pissed after it puked all over and bought a braided SS line for the same price. Zero issues with it. I wanted to send it back for a refund but I doubt I would ever get anything out of it. Like most things, once you use it it's your baby.. If you go with them, I'd look them over very carefully.
Someday I'll pull mine apart and see what I can find, but I already remember that the 'cone' in one of the fittings was off center.
