later style sris routing

Post by mikefealk »

so the line from the center crankcase goes to the left rear cylinder through starter motor cavity right? and then the left crankcase and right crankcase lines crisscross to the L and R on the front of cylinders. just want to be sure im right because in my engine manual it says the rt. crankcase line goes to the fitting on the rear of cylinders through the starter hole, but all other sources say that is false.

I wrote this down from my GT750A some while back:

RH crankcase SRIS goes to C upper cylinder – pushes onto fitting on exhaust side next to ‘R’ letter on casting

C crankcase SRIS goes to LH upper cylinder – pushes onto fitting on carb side above starter motor cover

LH crankcase SRIS goes to R upper cylinder – pushes onto fitting on exhaust side next to ‘L’ letter on casting.

Different on my GT550B:
RH crankcase SRIS goes to LH cylinder

C crankcase SRIS goes to RH cylinder

LH crankcase SRIS goes to C cylinder

My GT380B doesn't have a SRIS system :-)

Cheers,
Mike

I believe the change was made beginning with the 74 L model.
