Dave,

That's a good point, but it should be similar to riding on a cold misty day.

The normal mix is water-methanol and can be arranged to work only at high throttle openings but for sure, electronic controls and EFI are the way to go That way you can sense and measure MAP, temperatures, throttle position and exhaust gas O2 content to control the system.

I can think of easier ways to get the sort of improvement you are looking for, but why not?

I do not know if to apologize for the long time taken to post new material or ranting about the postal service (snail mail?) but since the two things are intertwined I'll just carry on...

The device I had tought of employng is the "Peltier cell" whom characteristics many of you will be aware of (the odd car-boot fridge);

this little video will perhaps showcase the potential this humble device can unravel, if used correctly:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/09tetabpjym6w ... 12-033.mp4" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

29,5 C = 85.10F 11,1 C = 51.98 F -4 C = 24.8 F

Max thermal excursion from hot to cold side of (this series) cell : 30 C / 86 F

The plan, was to use it in each of the air trunks, which take the air from the airbox to the carburettors:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/1k7xubqaxx01z ... 9_28d2.gif" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;"

trumks are n. 19 on exploded view;

The trunks will have to be formed out of aluminum, given the material's superior thermal conductivity, and will need a heatsink/fan combo to take heat away from the hotter side of the Pelltier;

If it were me i would do some load ability tests before spending a bunch to set it up . Set one up in a tube and run maybe 250cfm of 90deg air past it to see just how much it is able to lower the discharge air temp .
the older i get the faster i was
