GT500 carb jets

Post by rbond »

OK, I know the pilot jets are #30 size. What is the next size up and where would be a good place(s) to get them? Once it is hot it will transition fine from idle to the mains. Cold however, it is a little cold blooded, does not like to stay on the choke, but stutters some coming off the pilots to main until hot. If they are available, I would like to up a half size than a full number up. Thanks in advance.

I am looking for some as well. I am a noob, but I think I've learned that the increment on these jets are 2,5. Thus one size up is #32,5.

Sudco.com probably has them. Problem is the min. quantity is four. That seems to be the norm now unless you source them from Suzuki. $$$. I think four from Sudco would be half the price of two from Suzuki. I have a source right up the street where I can get the jets at a very reasonable price. Cheaper than Sudco and no shipping. I have sourced jets for others from there. It's genuine Mikuni stuff -- but still packs of four.
I was born with nothing and still have most of it left.

I have found these places:

I just placed an order here and will let you know how it turns out though you probably prefer something in NAFTA.

+1 Kirk. I just ordered a set for my T250, pilots and mains, sizes stock +2 for each just so I could tune it in. Stock worked perfectly for pilot with mains up 1 and needles set to middle.

for your stuttering you're getting you might try and rais the needles a notch for shits and grins.

For EU/UK members I can highly recommend Steve at http://www.motocarb.co.uk/pilot%20jets.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I ordered saturday, paid sunday and he send the jets monday. Fair prices and you could buy one at a time should you want to.
