Hey Adam,

Why are you looking to replace every bolt on your GT250? Some of the bolts are no longer available and others are generic replacements. For example, you can still get the bolts that hold the crankcase together but they no longer have the "S" molded into the head. You may be better off having the bolts you already have refinished/zinc plated. For the rest, if you have a parts book you already have a list of the bolts. If not you should be able to find a parts book on-line although they may only show the bolts that are still available.

Here's one on-line:

http://www.cmsnl.com/suzuki-gt250-1973- ... partslist/

The trick is whenever you find a bolt or screw in the parts book, look at the second half of the part number. For example - crankcase bolt part number 01550-06657. Look at the second half of the part number. The 06657. The 06 means it's a 6mm bolt. The 65 means it's 65mm long. Not sure what the 7 refers to. And this doesn't always work for some of the oddball stuff but it's gotten me there 95% of the time.

Hope this helps,

Jim

Hi Jim

Thanks for the info I was mostly after the washers I am a tad short and a few nuts and bolts short also.... i thought someone out there would have a size washer list just to make life a little easier and have done some hard work for me.....

Seems the old internet and Google cant solve all problems I am putting her back together as we speak and after rebuilding the wheels and motor the money has ran out for a zinc kit........... :(

If anyone can help please save me........

i will have a look at the book tonight and try and make heads and tails of it all thanks for the tips

Your local hardware supplier, or Bunnings, will have piles of 6,8,10mm washers and nuts already zinc plated. Just buy a bag of each.

As Jim mentioned, check to see which bolts you are missing and get replacements. For the bolts, you have to determine which ones are not there anyway.
