As far as i know the later number is an outer GT750 baffle design which means its got a different end at the back than the original Titan ones.
Two strokes, its just that simple.

Hi strainer,
Here is a photo of what I think are the two sets of baffles. The rusty (as a result of a blow torch de-coke) are original T500 and the ones with the packing are I think the alternative P/N. They were removed from a T500 silencer and seemed OK but I don't know how the shorter length is accommodated.

Cheers Zunspec

Those baffles in the pic with the glass wrap look like the inner ones found on the GT750. Its the outer ones Suzuki are using for the T500 pipes which are a slightly different design.
The original T500 baffles had a little cone fitted onto the crossbar which made removing the baffle difficult since you cant really grip the cross bar with it in the way.
The outside pipe baffles for the Buffalo do not have the little cone across the baffle pull bar like the Titan but they will work.
I have been very successful at restoring the baffles i did, and so far with some patience they've all turned out as good as new.
For replacing damaged cross bars, a GT750 rear wheel spoke works perfectly.

Re: T500 Muffler baffles
I really want to pull and clean the baffles on my titan as I've seen all sorts of nastiness oozing from with them. Is it just a matter of pulling them out with force via the crossbar that's near the end? Any tips on removal? I don't own a slide hammer. I've searched and have a decent idea how I'll go about cleaning them, but didn't find anything detailing the removal process.
Thanks
/edit those little phillips head screws on the baffles should have clued me in
. baffles were wet and black but no real build up. on to the next
