a sort of vintage bike other than Suzuki

Post by 87m6chris »

MERCY,
I can't find anyone to help with a question and I hope I have paid my dues here.
This young guy who works for me bought a 1980 Kawasaki KE175 dirt bike and wants to to get it running, so I said yes I would give him a hand. Well, Kawai Canada says they don't carry the carb. float anymore, it's only 31 years old! Suzuki can beat that by 10 or more years.
So, I'm looking for this carb. float 16031-1011 or a used float or a used carb. unit or
a whole new carb that will do the same thing as the original.
I have tried ebay with no luck.
Looking any suggestions or help.
Thanks very much,
Chris

http://www.ronayers.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;:

FLOAT

Mfg. Part Number: 16031-1011
SKU: 240408
MSRP: $41.84
Your Price: $31.75

Don't know if Ron Ayers or Power Sports Pro ship to Canada but I'd be willing to forward parts to you via USPS if needed.

Thanks guys, both of those dealers list the float but neither one actually carry it.
However, after many hours of trial and error I manged to bend the float back into the shape it was before the Dumb Previous Owner DPO got his hands on it. The engine is running fairly well and that's all that matters.
Thanks again
