The boots for the carbs are still available and you will need the six of them. Once you get them you will see how soft they should be. The back ones shrink the most of the set, and in both directions too,so they are too small and too short to reach and fit over the flanges on airbox and carb bell mouths
The harness itself does not get hard, its the black sheathing that goes hard and brittle, its easily fixed with new one of the correct diameter.
The bikes cleaning up great and once completed will be a very decent example of a blue 76.
Two strokes, its just that simple.

Well, I got the old harness cleaned up and working. I do have a question though. I got the lights and everything connected and they work. Blinkers, stop light, head light and gauge lights. When I switch the turn indicator on, it doesn't blink. It just comes on solid. The flasher fuse makes a buzz noise. I figured the flasher is probably bad and needs replaced. When the turn signals are off and I have the lights on as if I was going to ride at night time, all lights are on including the gauges except the 4 turn signal lights. I also noticed they are a singal filament bulb and socket too. Is this correct or are the 4 lamps supposed to be illuminated like modern bikes today are and blink when activated ?

I have also noticed in pictures and a history book that I got regarding the bike that some have a radiator fan in them. Mine does not. Was this only on certain models and years or is mine suppose to have one ? I do not see another connector on the harness anywhere for anything else that I missed. I did find a bullet connector on a black and white striped wire that does not have a mate. From what I can tell it runs through the harness and is part of a ground wire mounted under the tank on the frame. When I pulled the headlight bulb out, I checked the wires in it and found 2 single wires with bullet connectors, brown and orange, that also did not have a mating wire anywhere. The horn has the same color wires but it works. :wth: I do have a Clymer manual but it is somewhat usless in my opinion. The book leaves out alot of information.

One more question and I will leave everyone alone for now. Does anyone have a pic of there GT750 with the correct harness routing ? Before I took the harness off the bike, it was kind of routed funny and not where it was suppose to be originally from what I can tell. There were parts of the harness that the fuel tank was resting on and keeping the tank from seating on the frame properly. I can take picutres and post them of the way I have routed it for now if that helps.
