Long time since I've posted

Post by jeff g »

Man, my 73 GT550 is a mess. The motor died at Deals Gap last year. I finally wore it out after 40K+ miles. Didn't have enough compression to start. :( :(

I've finally gotten the rings that I need to redo the top end, so hopefully it will be ready to go soon. I've also got to recover the seat and paint the bike (I know...I've been threatening to paint it for several years now). Now all I need is time and for the weather to cooperate (it's been COLD and I don't have heat in my garage)

I've also managed to pick up another GT550 that's in really bad shape, but it's an orange 75...same model and color as the first bike I ever swung a leg over. That one will be getting as close to a full restoration as I can do.

See you all at the Gap in a few weeks.
