My wheel lacer has an old side wall lathe and may be able to recreate red or gold stripe tires like you see in this 1971 T500 advertisement, I cannot tell, anyone know for sure? I'm looking for a set of front and rear wheels that I can modify to fit the lathe to use as jigs. I will knock the wheel bearings out and machine the hubs to fit the wheel lathe center. Anyone have a true set of wheels they want to part with? I will pay for them of course and the shipping. If anything comes out of this I will post pictures and make the resource available to everyone here. He has done 100's of car tires with good results over the years.
Thank you!

Re: Need t500 or GT750 wheels for red stripe tire experiment
I have this set from a 79 GS550LN hanging from the rafers in my garage. Wheel sizes are 1.85x19 front and 2.15x18 rear. I bought these off ebay for a project but wound up not using them. As far as I know, they are true. Mags might even be better for multiple tire mounts. $50 + shipping and boxing. PM me if interested.
Does anyone know is UPS or FedEx will ship a bare wheel?

I was born with nothing and still have most of it left.
