Anyone ever see a 1978 GT750?

Post by wanrep »

Years ago, a friend of mine told me Suzuki actually offered dealers GT750's for 1978. Supposedly they were black....left over '77's?
His brother owned a Suzuki dealership so I didn't doubt him at the time but I've never seen one.
Have I been searching for "Bigfoot" all these years or is there actually such an animal?

Some markets such as Italy did get a 78 model of GT but it was not a 750

Honda dealer here in Grand Rapids bought a butt load of 73-4 ST70s and 90s. They were selling them into the 80s with titles matching the sale date. I had an ST90 from Gars Honda with a Michigan title for a 1982 model Honda ST90, build date 1974. am sure there are late 77 Suzukis with the same fate.

Part of me is thinking that they were just left over '77s sold as '77 but brand new to dealerships in '78. That happens a lot with bikes. I bought a brand new '92 FJ1200 in '93 or '94 it had been delivered to the dealership the year after they had gone out of production. So maybe that's it??

OR Bigfoot actually stopped in and did one of those sign and drive things.....just sayin
