It will be interesting to see how much this bike sells for if the reserve is met.

Its one of the first real Suzuki motorcycles. I hope it ends up in a museum open to the public.

Looks just like the pic on SuzukiCycles.org

Yes, the bidding should be very interesting. I'm totaling going out on a limb here. Guessing that bike is worth between 20 to 30 grand to a serious collector. You would think perhaps Suzuki themselves might be interested in that one.

It is very similar to the Harley Hummer and BSA Bantam D1, but I didn't know that Suzuki also had a copy of the pre-war German bike they were copied from as part of the spoils of war.

Maybe the design was provided as part of the rebuilding effort after WW2

Around that time Suzuki were influenced heavily by the Adler designs out of Germany, the engine cases are almost exact copies,, good call Richard.
The end bid to me is surprising even though the reserve was not met, I would have expected at least eight grand.
Two strokes, its just that simple.

Nope... $5,100. Hope he doesn't try to part it out :?
Slow and steady may win the race, but without loud and fast it's just a waste
