They look awesome. But I wouldn't pay that amount. But as you see, somebody else would.

If they sold then they were worth it to someone.

I found a pair of NOS gauges for my Titan for just under 2/3 that price and I was very happy.

Considering I've seen Cobra show bikes bring as much as $8,000 - $400 for what amounts to a brand new pair of Cobra gauges doesn't seem insane. If you had a 95+ point show bike/restoration and your grotty old gauges were holding you back from a 98+ point best of show, $400 might even seem like a bargain. Of course to get to that point you've already come to grips with the fact you might not get back all the time and money spent on your project bike.

Ok let me say this, they are in excellent condition and the price you paid is a steal. To put this price you paid into perspective ONE analogue gauge for a first generation 1990s Bandit 1200 is over $450.00 each.
You did very well on the score of those two gauges, I just hope they dont store them upside down as shown in that photo as that causes the armature fluid to leak out.
Two strokes, its just that simple.

About a year ago, I got NOS Cobra speedo for about $125 off the ebay. And, I've seen NOS 69 tachs (large idiot lights) going for slightly over $100. Without hesitation, I'd pay for correct NOS Cobra tach with small idiot lights approx. $200-$250.
If those gauges from NZ are in near to new condition, that price was absolutely OK.

Yes they look stunning indeed but I'm a bit puzzled by the tach. The unit looks new but the three coloured lenses for the warning bulbs look a bit pale, especially the orange one, as if they are sun faded.
