This may be a good starting point for someone's project. Seems in good shape for the price. Near Rochester, NY.

Re: 1970 T500
Somewhat tempting.
The seller is a used bike shop. http://www.kingpowersports.com
Am inclined to think purchasing from a bike shop would be less risky than buying from a typical private seller.

Re: 1970 T500
I usually wouldn't repost an eBay sale, but this one had a few good things going for it:
-- Sold by business, vs. and individual -- I picked up my t500 from a Craigslist ad. It was a shop near Atlanta, GA that was selling it on consignment. Felt better about dealing with a business, which would more likely be concerned about their reputation. Also, shops trend not to be as romantic about the true value of what they are selling.
-- Has it listed at auction for $1500, or buy it now for $1550. The Buy It Now price is pretty realistic, if there isn't any major damage going on.

Re: 1970 T500
I didn't think it would last long, that's another reason I posted it here.
Very similar to the price and condition the '71 T500 I bought. Good condition to start a restoration at.
