Engine turns over with great compression, but no attempt has been madr to start it.
Seriously? That's ebaynese for "it won't run". No attempt to start , pfft. I bet they attempted a lot, but cannot get it to go. If they could get it to run, they would certainly be happy to list that in the auction. 8)

Stop being so cynical guys...the ad says "So if you ever fancied a super rare Suzuki T500, now is your chance, there not many left in the USA"

This is a once in a life time chance to own such a classic.

Shouldn't have any trouble spinning the rear wheel...

Just bought a better one than that for £400

but he is a dealer
bloody hell Peter how do you do it?
all the ones I've seen any better than that always up near if not more to a grand.
there's one on there eBay and he is asking for nearly £3000 for an un registered bike.
wish I could get one for £500 even if its a GT

that is why I'm a bit reluctance in buying any T or GT500 they are just out of my price range.
I will be riding it not showing it.
so I would need a good runner.
with the English weather I would expect the ride out milage would be around 2,000/4,000 a year

A good few years back when Ebay came along, there were bargains to be had. Now everyone uses it, that's no longer the case. So many people get to see an item the price gets pushed up. As Pete says, you have a better chance of a bargain outside of Ebay.

Post by Carlton Cobra »

:) "Heap of The Week" In answer to your question Err no but someone did buy it & at the asking price. Stuff like this is always useful to someone else who needs the rare parts for their own rebuild projects but always bear in mind fella,s who sell stuff like this on Ebay (not tried to start it ripe for restoration its rare once in a lifetime offer not many left in the USA etc) "they have had a play at getting it going" so always fear the worse & buy with a cheeky offer/bid they can always say no

Yes, they rarely seize up when you add a few ventilation holes in the crankcase.
