 Hi Allan, have seen this over on the Kettleclinic UK,as I've mentioned there,a few low/no mileage bikes advertised lately on Australian Ebay...all bikes for sale mention a reference/connections to Suzuki Australia....a month ago the bikes were a Suzuki GT750J,T20 & a T10....all in Melbourne Victoria.
Cheers

Ridiculous.

Yeah, they're a bit rare and sought after but $50,000?

Mind you, it means Allan and I are now rather wealthy!

90k didn't reach reserve is ridiculous. I'm not a collector, but how two bikes that can never be ridden are worth 100k is beyond my comprehension. Pretty enough to look at but as in investment, there would have to be a question as to how much upside there is left.

What's more surprising is the number of people bidding relatively large sums that must not agree with me :?

The thing is, they are not being ridden, so some people want to pay for that owners privilege. The thing is, a stock RG is not the best bike to go out and 'ride', theres a lot to be said for the issues the bikes have in stock form. Some are related to the time period and some are design issues.
You can get an RG built up with all the stock bikes issues solved for a lot less than $50 grand. Mind you it wont be a new never ridden example, but it will be fun to ride and own.
