Is it just me or has the Classic Bike world gone a bit mad?
I've owned both of the 500 strokers from the eighties, and whilst Yamaha gave it a good shot, the RZ was not a patch on the RG.
It neither looked as good or handled or went as good, and it was less reliable in the long term.
I'd consider paying 7 or 8-ish for a nice RG... no way on this earth that RZ is worth much more than half of what he's asking, especially with the damage it has and the fact it's an import.
I emailed him through fleaBay and told him as much and he replied... he's deluded that's for sure. Maybe there's a sucker out there who'll agree with him, but I doubt it.
Teazer, do any of your local friends understand 'The Castle' or is it viewed as an antipodean oddity?
I don't know about you, but I know plenty of Darryl Kerrigans.
Cheers
Paul

Paul,
I have shown it to a couple of Americans and those that are more international get some of the humour but I have to remember that the situation as well as the characters really only exist in that one culture.
It's probably fair to say that about 1/3 of the humor translates easily, 1/3 isn't funny in another culture but you can see why it might be for someone else and the last third just sails on by.
But is definitely an oddity. best of all is that I regularly drive up and down that part of Sydney road when I'm in Melbourne or Coburg and I used to work in Broadmeadows and lived in St Albans so I'm somewhat familiar with the locale.
My favorite part was when the cop came to the door to enquire about the missing gates. That was priceless.
Bloody mossies are getting out of hand here - need a can of Aerogard (sp?)

1985 Suzuki Gamma - Square 4
I have heard of them but what is a square four engine.
Was the head square with four pistons under?
10K at the moment, this is a high dollar bike.
