That looks like a 75 or 76 model to me.. H2 Rick must be crying to see a bike like his 550 in such a state.. its a real shame,BUT the price is excellent.

This is a '75 - I have two of them. For that price it's worth it for parts if nothing else. Looks like a lot of the stuff on the bike might be in good shape.

Sorry Gordon i disagree,,, BECAUSE i dont own a M model GT 550 or 750,,LOL,,, however i do have the M model Rotary

Looks in simular condition to the 76 550 I picked up for $150 last year for parts, except that one has a lot less rust.. Once I got it home, I decided it was in to good of condition for a parts bike, and started buying what I would need to get it back on the road. Needless to say, it I now have a lot more than $150 in it, and it still ain't on the road yet. :^)

But it will be one of these days!!

It's close, but I don't have the room, money, or patience for another project just now.

Its hard not buying bikes in the winter, but its nice being able to walk around the bike I'm working on too :D
