I have been watching that somewhat, too far away really but doesn't look too bad.

It looks like a decent, mostly original bike. It's probably a great deal.

If you stroke it more than twice; you're playing with it.

Too many bikes, too much time, ENOUGH SPACE, FINALLY! Never enough money.........

Based on it's looks alone, I think the buyer got a smokin' deal. Wish I'd only paid that much for mine.

If you look at it from that angle.

I was thinking the other way. It isn't the original color, the seat doesn't appear to be original, the tank rack is missing, sidecover is cracked, original miles are unknown, needs new chain and sprockets, airbox is a homemade unit. Shocks are from something else. And that is what I can see from the picture.

If you are looking for a rider, not an original bike...no problem I guess.

All that considered, I felt $1600 was a high price. I have a '70 that is all original, I never thought mine would bring that, let alone one that has these issues.

Maybe I am undervaluing my bike? Do I have a skewed sense of value?

I bought this 2 years ago for $650

Tim,

If you bought that anywhere close to that condition for 650 then I think your sense of value got skewed a little bit. That was a lucky opportunity my friend.

I felt mine was worth $12 -$1400 tops. Seriously.

Tim, I'd bet that yours would bring $2500.00. It's complete, original (except perhaps for the front and rear reflectors), and it's an oddball year model just because of the tank rack.

I just changed my mind. Tim you have the tire pump????? That's probably worth $500.00 by itself.

I think those reflectors are correct for '70...same as the bike above. I have seen some '70's without them, however.
