Buffalo restoration would have been finished
Had I not bought this a couple of weeks ago. 1984 Yamaha RZ 350. What a blast to ride. Little bugger is quick. Lol !

Have to agree. I'd love to get my hands on a 500. Just not willing to spend what they go for at today's prices. These little bikes scream. Its funny how they demand to be thrashed on. Otherwise, they're not very street friendly.tz375 wrote:Are they not the most fun little bikes?

Have those carbs been soaking in ethanol fuel? They look like they are swollen.
Have fun at the track.

Re: Buffalo restoration would have been finished
Be sure to post up some track pics, Roy. If this is your first track day. You'll have an absolute blast. You have been warned though, it's very addicting. Becomes a very expensive addiction. Lol ! May I ask where I can look into getting a custom seat made similar to yours ? I bought a used set of Spec II full fairings with a solo seat for the RZ and I need to figure out what I am going to do for the seat.

Will do. This will be my second track day. The first one I did I brought the Red Kettle:

For my Yamaha seat, I made a seat pan myself using fiberglass (I used the seat itself as the mold). Then I bought some seat foam and glued that on. I took it to a local auto upholstery shop here in Raleigh and they covered it for me. The finished seat is fixed to the base with industrial strength Velcro.

What did you use to reinforce the fiberglass ?RING_DING wrote:Will do. This will be my second track day. The first one I did I brought the Red Kettle:

Just a couple of layers of chopped strand mat glass. You can buy a Bondo kit in Home Depot that has everything you need.
