Sounds like my old one .. the PO had rigged it to be on all the time with no reserve and no long knob . This nice new petcock fixes both of these problem and it is about 1/2 price of the factory one  and it also came with a new base gasket

Today i put on the new Ebay petcock , fired up the beast and road it around the neighborhood , it feels real good but carbs need syncing and a bit of mixture fine tuning ( putts a bit at idle ) .. over all real happy  .

The first ride is a wonderful thing. Be sure to upload some new pictures for those of us on the edge of our seats when you get everything looking just right. At least you don't need to fuss with injector oil adjustments eh? Everybody's been talking about riding their buffalos to the Gap this year but I think we need to make an exception for you...

Thanx Josh , i wish i could make the Gap trip this coming year but i dont think it will be in the stars again ( new job with no vacation time ) Now with the 1100 i cannot wait to get it out on the main road and get it up to speed to see if there is a mixture problem with the mixmash of carbs and jetting :wth:

Spring time had it up and running , got it tagged and insured and running around  what a different bike than anything i have owned before  now put away looking at winter coming . For now it still has the silver paint job that it had when i purchased it but some time i would love to have it paint back to stock colors .. i think black and red would look very nice .

Here's the place to get the decals...if your going back to original.
I got my RZ350 decals from them, as well as the ones for my CBX.
They are as close to factory, as the factory it self makes...
Not the cheapest.... but if your going to go through the trouble...well, you know what I mean

That's a steal. Later slingshot carbs by the look of things and later wheels and forks. Very tidy for the price.

When do you pick it up?

I don't know where you eneded up with your project as the old pictures are not showing. I thought I would share one of my current rides which is a project I finished in 2006.
