Kawasaki B8T

Post by advant63 »

Here's the latest addition.
The first production from Kawasaki Aircraft Company. 125 cc piston port single. Electric start. The wiring was mouse eaten in the airbox area. Cleaned the tank and carb and off it went.
Apologies for the fuzzy oversize photo.

I agree with Ian. Some folks restorations look tattier than that! Good score - what's the plan for her?

the next job is a sad one. i have to peel those whitewalls off. they are barely holding together and the front is losing air daily.
i spoke with an old timer at the cvmg national rally who had whitewalls on his honda. i got as far as the price and then shat myself. i don't remember the exact figure but it added up to sportbike tire dollars. that's hard to justify when blackwalls are 22cdn$ each.
after that it will be on the rally/bikeshow circuit with the occasional mosquito control session in the village(currently the job of my little suzukis).
sadly the k10 is losing it's wide whites for the same reason.

What about Port-O-Walls ?

The prices seem reasonable if they have your size.
