Suzuki 2 Strokes

Many (and I do mean 'many') years ago, a friend of mine had one of these in this colour and I wrenched for him, rebuilding the engine for him once and then some years later doing a restoration for him as well. Always wanted one the same and finally found one this week. Its a 1968 CL77 Honda with 1500 miles on the clock and is all original (even the tires ), although it is missing the tool kit - heck, it even runs !

That's awful OJB, missing toolkit what a rip-off. Better to cut your losses and ship it over to me now

Fantastic find and it looks terrific. You don't see many like that in the UK.

Ian, great score on that CL, so tell me, how are those original hard plastic tyres working out.

Great score on the late model CL305 Ian. Is that left header really blue or is that a trick of the light? Twin wall headers were supposed to eliminate blue pipes, but maybe that radius is so tight that they get hot there.

Yes - the pipes do have a blue tinge - I'll have a better idea of exactly what surprises I've bought in a few days after I get back from Toronto and have had a chance to spend some time with it. I'm on my way down east to attend the CVMG annual general meeting there - actually just outside Hamilton. Another fellow and I have taken on the role of web master for them so I wanted to meet the executive etc. There are about 2000 members across Canada and they are into all makes and models. Quite an interesting group of folks.

They are hard enough that I'm sure they would last forever Allan I'll have to shop around as inch size tires are not common up here - Dunlop K70/K81 replacement seem popular and match the original look, but we will see.

In an old Honda, I have always wanted a 305 SuperHawk. (red one) Then get the transmission replacement from England, do the alternator upgrade, and get the electronic ignition kit too. Then I would have a proper motorcycle. (for a 4 stroke that is) I also would like to try a Bridgestone 350 GTR too.

Looks nice. I have a CL90 that someone painted the tank red, it looks pretty similar.

Sweet. May I suggest, not to wear shorts while riding it.

I just sold a race bike with most of those parts inside it. 5 speed Nova transmission and Dyna on the crank and so on..
