momma's NEW suzi

Post by advant63 »

well, at 52 my wife finally got the bug to go riding. she hasn't been on the back of a bike since she found out she was pregnant. our son will be 24 in march. i don't understand as she seems to loathe the dozen machines that pack my half of the garage. maybe it's only the two stroke smell that does it.
her only requirement is comfort so after sitting on every cruiser in the province she has decided on the mighty gz250.

Good call on that model, your wife should be happy. Its seat is low enough for easy balancing and the position is laid back and comfortable.
You were wise to get it, now to see how often she rides it.
Two strokes, its just that simple.

Nice bike! Small does not mean bad, that's a great machine.

I hope it works out for both you and her, Dennis.

At least she picked the less visually-challenged 250. She COULD have selected the exceedingly uuuugggglyyyyyy TU250.
And, no, it's not so ugly it's cute!!!

I had an 02 GZ250 briefly. I was surprised at the lack of cahoneys. It sounded like it was gonna grenade itself at 55 mph with me on it. Sold it quick before i blew it up. They're supposedly good on gas though. They're probably best as a 50mph and under bike . Great for beginners.

well, we got it home and gave it a bath. it seems to be the logical first bike, although i was leading her toward a kaw en500.
she wouldn't out grow the kaw but the only decent used one was at a local dealer for around $4000.
one will fall from the sky into my lap now that she has this one. allan, she will ride it as she tends to carry through on most things she undertakes.
i will have to ease her into riding but there are enough nearby destinations that she won't be put off by my ironbutt tendencies.
if i run my 550 i will have to stop for gas twice as often as her.
