Re: KAWASAKI 500 MACH III RIDER'S HANDBOOK - H1 OWNER'S MANU

Just for general info RB posted this on KTW. I've gotta agree..............
RB wrote:Looks like a VERY nice manual . . . . But a VERY innacurate description! 8O

EACH model H1 had it's own manual with VERY different pages and text - the '69 H1 manual (Red cover) , '70 H1 manual (Grey cover), '71 H1a manual (Green cover), and '72 H1b (grey cover) were all VERY different books with varying numbers of pages. To be correct that Red manual ONLY covers the '69 H1 as such the market is limited and it should be more expensive to cover production costs. Then there are also Two versions of each - One for points ignition and One for Electronic ignition :roll: The potential accurate sales are 4,000 bikes as opposed to 60,000 bikes! :oops:

Thanks I corrected my description and have been corresponding with RB and others on the KTW board. In fact, RB loaned me several of his handbooks - he's the GREATEST!!! But when comparing the 69 and 70 handbooks (I now have originals of both whereas at first I just had black and white photocopies) they are in fact extremely similar. In those two years the colors of the covers are different and then there are just some very minor page numbering differences, differences in the forward narrative, etc... But most of the narrative (and photos of a '69 model in BOTH) are the same. Keep your eyes open for additional editions to become available. Regards, Eric

* * * NEW Kawasaki Rider's Handbook Reproduction - 1973 H2A * * *

Greetings to all the triples fanatics worldwide; hope you nothern hemisphere riders have been enjoying summer - and you southern hemisphere riders are enjoying winter! There is a link below to the latest handbook reproduction I have been involved with - the 1973 H2A. As explained in the listing it's priced higher than all the other reproductions so far for lots of reasons. But it is a SUPERB, FLAWLESS reproduction and the price includes FREE WORLDWIDE SHIPPING. Hoping to do the 1972 H1B handbook this fall, and possibly the 1974 H2B handbook after that. Best Regards, Eric

On a related SUZUKI matter, I just loaned Paul Miller of beautiful Kensington Connecticut my original 1970 Suzuki T500-III Owner's manual and he reproduced it! It's now available for sale on eBay - it's the last in the series of T500 manuals he has for sale! Started a thread on this site to plug those too because no T500 is complete without one!
