Hello eveyone
i havea 600 srad and the rear brake has siezed . I managed to get the caliper off the disc and removed the pads thinking i could pump the foot pedal and push the pistons out a little way to clean them . However there us no movemnt in the pistons and the reservoir is tucked behind the fairing . Do i have to remove the fairing to get to it or is there any quick fix ?

Any ideas would be appreciated

if there is no movement in the pistons, pump harder. If that doesn't work then you have either a blockage between the master cylinder and the caliper or a completely rusted solid set of pistons in the caliper.
If the caliper is totally rusted then junk it and buy another one. However....
I find it highly unlikely that you cannot press the pistons out by pumping the master cylinder hard unless....you have air in the system. If you have lost your fluid or have somehow got air into the system you will find it impossible to get sufficient pressure to pop out the pistons.
Once you do get the pistons to move, be careful to pump them out evenly. On a two piston caliper if you keep pumping blindly you may find one piston will fall out while the other is still stuck solid in the housing. Then you have no way of pressurising the caliper to pop the remaining pot out. Sometimes you need to clamp one piston to pump out the other.
Oh and yes you may need to remove some panels to reach the reservoir. Whatever you do, don't get brake fluid on your paintwork.
P.S. When did Suzuki start equipping the SRAD 600 with 2-stroke engines?
