I left it there .. it is a good deal for someone that has the time or just get it running for a kinda ugly bike as the paint was shot  . As usual the picture made it look a lot better than it is .

Sorry to learn it wasn't worth getting. I'm on my 6th or 7th 1100G now because I think they're great bikes. Their weak links were the charging system and rear differential. Cleaning every connectors surfaces and adding a few extra grounds helps prevent problems with the charging system and lubing the rear diff splines with high moly content grease prevents problems with the differential. GREAT bikes!

Thanx for the input Willie , this one also had the charging problems you mention and i didnt go as far as trying a test ride as the battery was dead . After all i went through with the GSXR1100 junk yard save i just didnt want to get into a total strip down and rebuild project again .

If you decide to get a GS-series bike than you should check out their forum:
http://www.thegsresources.com

They have lots of excellent info on engine/carb issues & testing/fixing the electrical system.

I couldn't agree more. I've been a regular on that forum since '06 and have attended a couple of their rallys in WV.
Great bunch of members that are always eager to help a fellow GSer.

Have you done the coil relay mod yet? Without a doubt the most bang for the buck mod of any I know of.
I've done it on the last 5 GS's I've had and got nothing but better starting and performance as a result.
