I spent an interesting afternoon at the new Rotary Recycle warehouse and shop today in Tennesee - I really doubt there is anywhere else on the planet you can go and look at well over 100 RE5's, and stacks of parts for them, and while Jess is still in the process of sorting out all the stock brought over from Sam's former location, he is open for business.
Its a pretty amazing place. If you own an RE5 (or a Hercules W2000), and need parts, I'd guess it is worth checking out. I took a few photos - this one shows a few of the parts bikes he has on hand.

I guess your trips going well Ian. If i was Jess id try to whittle that pile down to some good runners and get them ready for new owners.
It seems theres enough there that you might get 10 or so out of the lot.
The photo I posted only shows a very small selection of what is there - I was able to get the parts I needed to repair the Suzuki fairings Fred and I have no problem and Jess was very helpful.
I asked about complete bikes, and Jess is prepared to sell running, 'correct', ridable RE5 examples from both 1975 and 1976 - prices on request. I should mention he also spoke well of John's reproduction RE5 racks, plus he also said he still has some NOS ones as well.

If anyone is wanting to sell one or hears of a complete, original, RE5 up for sale (condition not so important, but completeness more so), please PM me!
They're pretty rare here in Oz and becoming collectible - I'd love to have one in my collection.

Just contact Jess here - he has quite a few runners, and they are for sale.

Well, as it happens, Jess does have a bike for sale, and I've placed the order!
It's a really nice original A fitted with what appears to be an aftermarket rack, but it may not be... I've seen the same rack on RE's in other photos.
It looks like this -
Can someone confirm if this is the Factory rack for RE5's similar to the Factory rack you could get for GT's?
I had expected a couple of others to jump in with comments before now who are more knowledgeable than I am, but it looks much the same as the ones John makes, which Jess spoke well of when I visited his place. I actually thought Suzuki only offered a single bar grip as an option originally, rather than a luggage rack for the RE5 but I could well be wrong.
A sample of one of John's RE5 racks is shown here. If you PM him ('johnakay' on this board) , I'm sure he can provide more detail and additional photos.
