I did, I even rode the Dragon in our rented mini van...woo hoo! Got to see a guy in a copper tone motorcycle do a wheelie. Going there was an experience I'm glad to have had and hope to repeat under better circumstances (like actually riding on a motorcycle).

While having lunch at the restaurant, I met a super nice guy and his friend that came all the way from Toronto. Saw the famous Tree of Shame and even took a picture there but lost all my pics from Helen,GA and surrounding areas when I hit the wrong button on my camera. Could kill myself. The worse part is that it's not the first time that's happened to me. UGH!!!!!!!!!

Sorry for your error, Joiseygirl. That's a terrible thing to have happen after driving all that way.
A solution to stop future errors, once you have all the good shots taken, is to pull the memory card from your camera and install a fresh one. That way you can't inadvertently erase all the good shots. Just a thought....

Thanks for the pics Allan. I was really disappointed I couldn't make it this year and was moping around all week.   It was good to at least see some pictures. Looks like you guys had a good turnout this year! Heard you also had some trouble with tires, Terry especially? It's nice to know someone took over the role of 'flat tire guy' in my absence. Will be there next year for sure!

Josh you Russel and John were missed, its just not the same without the 'three musketeers' around to liven up the action in the garage at night.
Lets hope next year brings back some long overdue faces to our meeting at DG in 2012

Thanks for your suggestion Rick, but I'm going to take it a step further, I'll let the kids handle the downloading from now on. :?

Yes Josh, Terry got a rear flat on the afternoon of first day just out of Maggie Valley, when we were on our way to the 'Wheels of Time' bike museum.
He got it patched after a lengthy delay of sorts, and the ride continued, but heavy rain coming in by the late evening meant the riding was somewhat curtailed.
The next morning at the house it was flat again and so off the wheel came again to find it had a slow leak at the patch. It was re-patched twice but for some reason the tube or the glue was not fully bonding with the patch.
So we went into Franklin but could not find a tube that size at the local bike shops, but we were able to obtain a good used one, so after three wheel removals it was fixed.
Two strokes, its just that simple.
