Dave and I drive for 10 hours from Jax to the Gap, and on top of that I drive the five hours each way to and from Miami to Jax.
Maybe you could bring some of your products and or product literature to the gap and peddle them there for orders. It could be a riding trip and sales promotion all in one.
This is of course just an idea.

Daytona then maybe Gap???
Well, made it to Daytona Bike Week with trailered RD400 and Woo Hoo back home. It worked well, the PC is a bit under powered but 65mph did well at 30 mpg.
I have to think about Doing the Gap with the trailer. Mountains heading that way May be to much of a challenge for the PC.
Great racing!! Ralph Hudson got a 1st and a 2nd on his T500, bummer that his Yamaha racer had the crank go bad during practice.

Dofin i'm glad you had a great time, and that a Suzuki T500 did so well.
Dave had mentioned to me the attendance was pretty poor overall from what hes seen in the past, so whats your input on the numbers you saw.
Also what happened to the ft fender on the PC????

It was actually a real TR500 that was raced in its day by the very rider that got first and second. He also got a first at Roebling Road the pre-Daytona AHRMA event.Suzsmokeyallan wrote:Dofin i'm glad you had a great time, and that a Suzuki T500 did so well.

What is so fantastic that a TR500 is winning in what is actually a sprint race compared to what they did in the day.
Go Ralph Hudson!!!

tire
Kinda melted the center of the fender when I replaced the oem 120/80-17 with a 120/90-17, kinda funny story for around the fire ring. I have a replacement fender already. I like the look of the fat tire kinda cool and it wasn't noticeable in the rain on the way to Daytona. So I wont change out the wheel until its wore out and then stick the finder and other plastic back on with a OEM tire.
I think there were less spectators, and maybe fewer infield campers but seemed like there were about the same number of RV/trailer camping? There were more competitors and Jay Springstein came out to race in a few venues. Jay(72 Harley) and Tim Joyce (73 Triumph) Put on a fantastic show on several races!! Just fantastic watching these guys flog the old machines!!
