hi terry .
the pig pen is in leakey at the start/finnish of the "three sisters" loop and we stayed in bandera in the riverfront cabins, they were very nice.

DAMN!
Thanks for posting this up. We were supposed to hit Leaky, and all the roads around it on our way to Austin last March. We hit a ton of snow and freezing temps around Flagstaff which really slowed us down. We only made it as far as Marfa, TX, before we had to head back.

Love your paint....

Mark,

We stayed in those cabins before, those are nice. Been in Leaky, must have missed the Hogpen, never saw it.

Evol,

If you made it to Marfa did you get to ride FM 170 around the Big Bend/Terlingua area? Did you see the Marfa lights?

Not really a return trip but if you are in the area at night it's something many people go see.

McDonald Observatory is a good tourist stop in the area but for motorcycle riding the mountains and FM 170 are where the action is.

We didn't make it that far south (FM170) nor did we check out the Mara lights (had no idea).

Our photos are here:

Marfa is day 7.

I'm hoping we can make it over to Leaky next time I fly into Austin...
