Hello from the UK.
Ive been checking out the posts over a few months and thought Id join up.
I bought a T500 as a box of bits without a frame last March.
I got an imported frame from T and G, finished the bike only to find the petrol tank leaked. I had painted the tank with rattle cans so not a disaster, and it survived in tact (better than my car!).
Got the tank lined took 3 months not the 3 weeks as promised (sound familiar?).
I rebuilt the engine and did the oil mod, replaced seals etc. Left the rest as is, ie. slightly rusty, but its in keeping with its age and it all works.
Registered and on the road in November, just in time for the good weather.
Cheers
Ross

Looks good to me!
If you stroke it more than twice; you're playing with it.
