Not long returned from an 85mile run in the glorious sunshine this afternoon on the old pink peril she ran like a Swiss watch and despite temperatures in the low 20's the temp gauge never moved from the half way mark. A variety of roads from 30mph town roads, 60mph country roads and even a short motorway blast and she took it all in her stride, I even showed a clean pair of heels to an SV650 on some country roads I know like the back of my hand
Two strokes dontcha just love em?

If you stroke it more than twice; you're playing with it.

Thanks Lane, she's an ex US bike from Ohio and I dropped lucky with her as she's only done 16500 miles and is virtually untouched. The paintwork is a little sunfaded but I didn't want to restore her just tidy her up a little and like you say "enjoy it"

Re: A run in the sun
After giving the old girl a thorough service and polished it to within an inch of its life thinking I had sold it I thought I would have a run out in the lovely sunshine and get some benefit from all my hard work I put some fresh Esso super in the tank and did 120 miles around the roads I used to terrorise as a teenager
The old girl ran a treat as usual apart from I need to back the chain off a tad. A cracking ride and I think I might be developing a soft spot for the Heffalump.
