Hi there, have been visiting for years, finally decided to join.
I am currently riding a much modified T500J, that I have owned since January 1975.
It first saw service as my road bike, including a 2 year trip to England and Europe in the late 70s during which time it also had a sidecar attached.
On returning to Aus(minus the sidecar), it was again used on the road till I bought something more modern. By this time it had chambers, 20 litre alloy T A Baker tank , boranni rims, rear sets and all the usual cafe racer foolishness.
When Post Classic class racing starts up here, it got turned into a race bike, luckily it had most of the gear it needed already.
Went through a few front ends, now has a full GT750 twin disc, ain't never gonna run out of front brakes.
Finally gave up racing when I left the military about 10 years ago . Bolted lights back on it and now ride it in otherwise race trim on the road. It's actually surprisingly reliable.
Hope to join in with the discussions on here and get to know you all.
