Seems like a great way to have fun & bond with your grandfather.

A surprising number of parts are still available from Suzuki. Some of the bike shops have online stores with parts diagrams & good discounts.

Babbit's is a good choice. They list the woodruff key & points as available.

Check the frame number & parts diagram to figure out which magneto you have.

eBay is a good source for parts. Should check availability & price from an online retailer like Babbit's before getting a part from eBay. Also make sure to check the shipping price on eBay before buying something. Some sellers charge outrageous prices -- sometimes it pays to wait to see if someone lists a part cheaper.

Paul Miller is a good source for NOS (new old stock) vintage Suzuki parts. He sells via eBay as seller jrwdfa. He only lists a small fraction of his inventory on eBay. For other stuff you can call him at 860 828-1771.

NOS parts can be quite pricey -- so be prepared for sticker shock.

thanks for the replys (and the welcome  ). i have found some parts on ebay. the problem i run into is a limited production problem. for 69 and 70 the oil pump and ignition was differnt than the 71 on, making parts more dificult. they even changed the seat and stuff. the carb and intake was changed right there in the 70-72 year range. i will look into that company and see what they can do. thanks again! and yes my grandfather and i are really enjoying it. we just finished a 1949 indian arrow to go for a landspeed record at bonaville this year. so this ones for me

There is a couple of 2-3 places, but this is a good place to start your thread of the process.
