'76 GT750 Cylinders, and Pistons FS, or Trade

Post by Blokhead »

I've got a nice cylinder block, and pistons from my low mileage '76 GT (see my first post viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5083" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;). Actual miles are unknown, because bike was purchased without a speedo, but it did come with original tires on it, and you can still see the crosshatch in parts of the bore. Cylinders came off without a puller!, no pry marks, or any other damage, except for a small scrape from being dumped. I would like to trade for the same, but only from a '73, or '74 (I want the higher intake port timing).
My camera batteries are dead, but I will post some pics shortly.

If no trades I would take a new set of OEM pistons first over, and then have my '73 cylinders bored.

I have a set of the tall '73 VM carbs that are very nice also, that I probably won't be using. I will have to take one of the P-4 needle jets out so I have 3 of the same in my replacement carbs. I'm making my own pipe, and won't be running the ex. couplers.

I would rather buy, and sell from here than from that auction site that shall not be named :)

I have a set of new 0.5mm O/S pistons and rings to trade. PM me and let's talk.

You could also slide a 3mm spacer underneath and slice 4mm off the top. Similar intake timing to JKL and nicely raised exhaust and transfers. Just saying.....

That would be a little higher on the exhaust than I want to go. This will be a low rpm torquer.
Sending PM.
