My first t500 was a secondhand "J" in 1972. I am shopping around for one. I have found a T500K (my second 500 when I was young was a new t500K) that I am about to complete off once I finish building a new workshop.
If you have a 500J and want to give it a new home please contact me. I have seen a few overseas but the shipping factor makes them not viable unless all the bits are in great nick.
I am retiring next month and need to have a few more projects on the boil.
Cheers

Found my next project bike. a T500J that looks crap and needs so much doing to it, but it was a bargain... The original owner changed lots of the original bits with stuff from an older T500...
3 more weeks till I retire. Yeehaa!

Retirement won't come fast enough now! It's gotta be good for your health (mental and physical) to have a project to keep you active and interested during retirement. Enjoy, it looks a good basis to start a resto from
Burt Munro + John Britten + Kim Newcombe + Ivan Mauger = Kiwi Street Cred
Nice find I,v just retired (4 months) and can highly recommend it! If you decide you want to sell that rear chrome rack give me first crack please not bothered about you being in Aus just pm Me if you decide cheers Paul
Spent the last couple of days building the new workshop. 3m x 4.5m (for those not into metric that's about yay wide by yay and a bit long). The weather is very hot so I only work on it early morning and late afternoon. Can't wait to fit it out. Then I have to move 3 bikes and heap of spares in there. I can start doing something productive in a few weeks at this rate.
