1972 and 1973 pans are the same - from 1974 onwards there is a cut out for the seat lock. You could modify a later one to look like the 1972 by welding in the area of the seat lock. The seat foam is almost the same for every year and replacement covers can be sourced from several places. PitReplica on eBay does better late model ones than early ones - the diamonds are too small and the lines a bit too wide. The nice thing about them is that the edge is finished with a bead, and ready to be 'crimped' down using the seat tabs. There are several places in the UK that sell better looking ones - just check the UK eBay. HVC is another option in the USA (http://www.hvccycle.com/seats-suzuki.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) as well as Cool Retro (http://www.coolretrobikes.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;). The thing with these is that you will likely need to take them to a place that does this sort of work as the edge is not finished and so you need to glue it down, or have a bead sewn in to be able to secure it on the pan.

Hope that helps. 8)
