Small herd of Buffalo for Sale

I've been lurking around this board for some time now, and I've never really had the need to post anything, as I have really had all my questions answered by just topic searching. Unfortunately, my attention has been redirected towards other bikes for the time being, and I'm certain that I will regret what I'm about to do...but, here goes:

I have FOUR '76 Suzuki GT750 "Water Buffaloes" for sale. One is finished, the other three are in various states of disrepair. All four are titled. What you get is all four bikes, one without engine and about 20% complete, one with engine and about 75% complete, one that was a runner until I started taking it apart to restore, and a finished Buffalo that I can send photos of on request. IN ADDITION, you get a FIFTH motorcycle, a 1991 Kawasaki ZR550 (Zephyr) that I was going to cannibalize for parts - basically, my thought was to use the Zephyr's wheels and suspension components to take the rough-riding Buffalo boldly into the '90's. Damnit, I never got around to that.

Now, it wouldn't be fair to anyone if I didn't disclose what happened to the finished Buffalo recently. It has developed a small charging issue that I don't have the time (or patience) to diagnose - suffice to say I HATE electrical system issues. So, in order to facilitate a quick sale, I will lower my asking price accordingly. I think that with a little due diligence this small problem can be overcome. Don't get me wrong, the motorcycle does run, it's just on a "total loss" charging system right now. Without a doubt you'll have the spares to fix it! Hey, If I have to diagnose and repair it, you'll pay dearly for my frustration. Trust me, not worth it.

The finished bike has NEW Dunlop 501GT tires, braided brake lines, a stunning charcoal gray paint job (professionally done - no rattle cans here!) a new battery, new front brake pads, and a original pattern seat cover from New Zealand. It is without a doubt the SMOOTHEST motorcycle (vibration-wise) that I've ever ridden at freeway speeds.

I don't need to sell these bikes, so all lowballers and lookie-loos can officially piss off. I just want them to go where they'll get some attention. Look at any ads on Craigslist or ebay and a SINGLE finished GT750 can go for $2500 to $4000 alone. With all the spares you get with this purchase, you'll be an instant authority! I'm open to reasonable offers.

I guess I am a lookie-loo with no interest in your bikes so I will piss off...

anyhow, you posted no price or pictures. you would probably get a lot more inquiries if you did.

also, welcome to the board but since you are getting rid of your smokers, you may not be here long I guess.

At least his heart was in the right place,, he has 76 Buffalos, obviously a man with good taste.
I've always heard a few of the guys in the past complaining about nothing good ever shows up in the midwest or near the west coast, well?????????? heres your chance guys..

Jeez - I thought all the thin-skinned folks were on the FZ1 BB that I subscribe to...

Anyway, I have pics, they will be forthcoming. I don't have a target price, just whatever sounds reasonable to me at the time.

BTW, the bikes that have piqued my interest, are ring-dings as well, a '74 Yamaha RD60, and one each '82 Kaw AR80 and Honda MB-5. They fit much easier into the limited space allowed me by my wife who insists her SUV take it's half out of the middle of the garage.

At least one of you has been able to decipher my alter ego - nicely done H2Rick!

Well, I guess I can't just attach a pic to this post, but I can tell all of you that I've set my asking price at $3K or offer. That will give any prospective buyers something of a target. That is for all five bikes and spares. Oh, and you've gotta take this old Windjammer SS fairing (complete with a CycleSound cassette player!) too.

I started the finished Buffalo up today after charging the battery. I cannibalized some parts off of the other runner in an attempt to do some comparative maintenance, unfortunately with no success. The electrical section of the service manual has been consulted. I had 14.4 volts across the battery terminals a month ago, and then - poof - suddenly it's not charging the battery. It's most likely a simple problem that I'm overlooking, but my patience has run out.

Anyone interested will recieve photos on request.

Now if only it were an 8 track player I would be all over that!!

Seriously though that sounds like a great deal. If I lived any closer I would be hard pressed not to jump on that. Even with the cassette player fairing.
