I just bought this shield off ebay last week. As you can see, it's a little small for the GS1000. I want to get a larger one. Probably a little small for the GT750 as well. Should work great on a GT550 on down - (T500, GT380 - 250 etc.). It'a a Slipstream Spit Fire. Fully universal fit with quick dismount hardware.
I paid $66 with free shipping. Will sell for $50 - free shipping (USA).

I've used that same shield on my CB700S Nighthawk, and Pinky. It worked great on my coast-to-coast trip on the Nighthawk. You can sell it, but I've found it to be a good shield.

You find it to be a bit small?? thats much bigger than the ones on the first gen Bandit 1200s and even bigger than the Powerbronze visors with the deflector top portion offered for the same Bandit.
I kind of like it that size but its just my opinion. Are those a pair of Stebels you have hanging from the H.L ears.
Now i see your bike i wanted to let you know i have two front fenders for the GS1000 in chrome id like to see go to a good home.

Fred. Those fenders look the same but are not. The GS fender is apprx 1/2" wider ear to ear. I checked this when I had my 77 Buiffalo a couple of years ago.
Allan. I don't know what Stebels are Those are aftermarket chrome automotive horns. The bike sounds like a car. No wimppy horns for me. Had to add a relay to get them to both sound at once.
The shield doesn't seem to cut much wind. The one I had on a Virago worked much better. I could even ride with my cap on. Now that I think about it -- it's probably because the Virago seat is about 8 or 9" lower.

For some reason Suzuki decided to make the 1000 forks a bit wider than the 1100 forks of the same time era, so as you said Coyote, the fenders look the same but are very different.
The ones from the first GS 1100 work perfectly in the Buffalo, same width bracket etc, but you need to redrill the holes on one side to compensate for the offset axle.
Stebels were German made horns looking just like those units you have there, really loud once the relay was hooked up for maximum blast which youve now done.
Recently i heard a 4x4 with a diesel loco sounding horn, THAT made all others pale in comparison, even the semi air horns dont make that much tone.
