WTB 1975 T500 headlamp socket and wiring

Post by Jakeyz333 »

Need an original headlamp wiring, from socket to connector. I believe the part number is 35171 - 36130. Thanks for your time -Jake

The original headlight on my '75 T500M was a sealed beam unit....the 35/25 watt bulb soldered in. I had to eventually modify the reflector years ago to install new cheaply made bulbs as needed over the years but several months ago I bought the 'plug and play' version :) on ebay. Image
and also a couple of vintage Stanley 35/25 watt bulbs (A7026)

However, if you have a headlight unit that will except that part you are looking for.....have you seen this? https://www.discountbikespares.co.uk/ou ... GT185.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;"

I think certain year Honda CB450 CB350 and CL350 machines used the same type socket and same wattage bulbs also. You might want to check out that route too.

Hey I Appreciate the information. I went ahead and purchased that socket and harness. I was jus wondering if you could tell me what headlamp I need to correctly mount the 35/25w bulb in. Right now I have the H4 lamp with the steel clip to hold the bulb in. I'm not sure if they are still available on ebay. If you still have the part number for what you purchased on ebay I may be able to replicate something aftermarket, any other ideas would be great. *** Also will a A7027 work? The A7026 is pretty much obsolete. Thanks for your time _ Jake

I'm a little confused....I suggested that if you already have the headlight that part with the part number you gave than there was a link to one. The headlight reflector/lens/trim ring assembly like the one I bought on ebay from Indonesia that goes with that socket is going to be hard to find...at least a new one. That Indonesia ebay seller shows to be out of them now.

For what it is worth, the part number that was on the old box (packaged by an ebay seller) that I got my assembly in was 35100-36131-999 and that number has been superseded so no guarantee the parts are exactly alike.

I'm not sure what headlight assembly you have now.....maybe from an early T500? or what you want to use. The 1975 T500M here in the states originally had a round sealed beam unit....the bulb base was soldered to the reflector and there are a couple of ways of modifying those to install a filament bulb from the rear of the reflector but like I said, I'm a little lost on what you have now and what you want to do........ but here are a couple of threads on an Emgo aftermarket headlight assembly if you want to to that way......note that an electrical upgrade such as a modern rectifier/regulator is suggested, as discussed many times over in the Electrical forum of this message board.

Just for the record, I had typed the vintage Stanley bulb number wrong.... it is A7025 not A7026

EDIT: I did just now find this. A little research would be in order to confirm fit and I should mention I have never done business with this company before...
