Hi guys, I'm looking for a GT750 rear rim, don't need the hub or spokes. Doesn't have to be super nice, I need it for a race bike so cheaper is better. Should be 2.15" across the inside beads.
Possibly a T500 or GT550 has the same width rear rim?
Thanks
Mark

Mark,

I have a complete wheel but it weighs about as much as a complete 200GP race bike. Are you allowed to use wider than WM3 in your series or is that as fat as you can go?

Yep, I know they entire wheel weighs a ton. Suzuki has the widest steel rim available at WM3, and ahrma limits rims to steel for Historic Production. I can go to a 2.5" but I dont know of any available. In that case I'd use the 2.15 on the front.

Steel 18 x 2.5 are available for some HDs but at quite a price.

The other possibility is to rebuild your wheels with powder coated rims and maybe there are some black rims out there that look like they are made of steel. If they look "right" will anyone ever test them with a magnet?

I did check rule 10.6 which says they must be the same material as stock and we all know that Japanese steel rims from that time had very little actual steel in them. They were mainly cheese or some other soft substance by all accounts.
