For Sale: 1975 GT750

I picked this bike up in part trade. It was one of those 'perpetual project' bikes that had tired out two previous owners who had each spent a shed load of money on it, and it 'just' needed to be completed and sorted out. It is a 1975 'M' model: new Avon rubber, chain, sprockets, fresh engine (rebuilt crankshaft using Suzuki parts - new main bearings, new crank pins, new crank seals, new con rods with new big and small end bearings, block was bored to 1st over with 1st over CI pistons, new engine seals, new water pump, new water pump gear), new professional paint job, new fork seals, braided stainless front brake lines, brand new front fender, and Boyer electronic ignition. The seat has been recovered, however the seat pan while serviceable, is not great. Likewise the fork ears - serviceable, but not perfect. I've put about 400 miles on it so far this year - currently shows about 21600 miles on the clock. Not a show bike, but a nice daily rider. It has Alberta title in my name.

Price is $4500 CDN (so at today's exchange rates, about $3500 in USD or £2200 in GBP) - Canadian cash on pick up in Calgary, Alberta. More photos are available - just PM or email me if interested. 8)

Need a rather large envelope Alan - and they don't fold flat very well ............ :D :D

As you'd know, for Europe it's the VAT that is the issue as it is charged both on the shipping cost as well as the purchase price. And for the UK specifically, you have to deal with all that NOVA and MOT nonsense. :? I think that shipping to the UK typically runs around $1200 CDN, but you'd have to get a few quotes to confirm. 8)

Forum member, johnakay, recently shipped a T500 from the US to the UK. So he knows what's involved.

I think he's still trying to soak all tbe postage stamps off the tank and seat and I understand the postman is still recovering from trying to get it through his letterbox......

I just a little curious how much to cost to ship the T500 to the UK.

Oldjapanesebikes’s 1975 GT750 looks quite nice.
Would look even nicer sitting beside my two 1975 GT750s. But I’m currently working on GT550 & T500 cafe builds, which are both money pits.

cant remember how much exactly the cost to ship.
a customer who ship bikes over to England mainly kawasaki triples and sells them on,is bringing it over..
I think he took over from Rick Brett.
so it was around £900 mark altogether.
import tax was about £500,vat about 2%.... not to sure.
