needed- T500 oil pump cable terminal piece

Post by sbaugz »

Its part number 13683-51010
nobody seems to carry it. Its the little barrel piece (terminal cable) that attaches throttle cable to oil pump lever arm.

I checked a local Suzuki dealer’s online system & it said its available.
Did you check with your local Suzuki dealer?

If the dealers can’t get it & no member has a spare, then the you-have-to-wait-longer option is Discount Bike Spares in the UK:

BAS (Bike Acquisition Syndrome) - too many bikes but have room for more

Suzuki:
GT750 2x75
GT550 72 & 75
GT380 72
T500 69 project & 73 project
T350 69 & 71
Honda 85 CB650SC & 86 CB700SC
09 Triumph Bonneville SE

I hate that. You get so desperate you start looking under stuff that hasn't been moved in 3 years. The worst one (imo) is the E clip that goes in the gas cap hinge pins. If you order one, they should send you a bag of 10.
I found a way of capturing a few on removal. I take a strip of packing tape and stick it together inside out. Then stick a few of those around the fillers neck. The clip usually sticks to the tape when you pop it off. Of course you will probably loose it later when attempting to put it back on. PLING! ^#*+@**:].
I was born with nothing and still have most of it left.

Those little E clips are available at radio controlled model shops for pennies.
Think of how stupid the average person is, then realise that half of them are more stupid than that.

Years ago when I worked in a motorcycle shop, we used to call those "damn it clips".
