Helmet Cams

Post by oldjapanesebikes »

Just reading the latest news on Michael Schumacher and the theory that the helmet cam may have been responsible for his helmet failing, and the severity of his consequent head injury. Makes me wonder about whether something similar could happen in the case of a camera attached to a motorcycle helmet ? Something to think about anyway. 8)

:? Hi Ian,the Police here in New South Wales (Australia) are now booking people for the use of cameras attached to helmets, for the fact that it can interfere with the safety design/integrity of the helmet,an example I suppose is the camera hitting the road hard & being forced back into the helmet shell, causing the helmet to fail dramatically due to the attached "foreign object" :?:

Cheers,
Roger.
