Unfortunately Dr. Vangina Rusty had access to a time machine and inadvertently killed herself.

She developed the first commercial Powerband but didn't benefit from it due to her untimely death.

I did hear story about a young lad taking his bike into a local shop some years back, and asking to have one fitted!

Don't expansion chambers require a change in powerband or do your pipes come with new powerbands in the kit?

I have a set of J&R pipes which supposedly had a very narrow powerband, bit I didn't get one with the pipes. Do you sell replacements or do you avoid that problem by designing pipes to keep a stock powerband?

And anyone got a lead on any Denco Powerbands. I hear they were the bees knees.

What that article failed to mention is a symptom called powerband spread. This occurance happens when you ride your bike closely alongside another bike.
Its quite effective when the bikes are the same model/year and even more impressive performance wise when they have on the same brand of pipes.
Basically when the bikes are running side by side, the powerbands spread out between the two engines, practically doubling the performance of each bike.
Two strokes, its just that simple.

I kid you not the reverse of that happened to me once! I was riding along when all of a sudden my GT bogged way down and got obnoxiously loud. The bike began running rich and backfiring violently. It was a cross reverberation caused by an influxed resonance by another motorcycle. I couldn't figure it out until I noticed the Harley Davidson riding alongside me.

Great article.

I believe you were a victim of product misuse Josh, its obvious that HD rider forgot to upload the optional powerband to his bike off the HD website after purchase.
You gotta read the fine print, if not you can be easily mislead.

Or possibly just a generic issue related to the brand ? 8)
