Ian that's an excellent film and from the trailer it looks to cover a lot. Its one DVD I'll be looking to buy asap.
As they mention, it's all about the passion for the sport, regardless of what area you like; whether its racing, trials, motocross, touring or just getting out there having fun.
After doing a fair amount of riding in the 70s and 80s, I went away from motorcycles for years, but in between those moments I raced bicycles on the road circuit so the passion for a two wheeled vehicle was still with me.
Coming back to motorcycles again in the mid 2000s showed me just how much I missed it, and its 'game on' again until the day I cant ride anymore.
Showing this film to your wife or significant other should give her a better understanding as to why you are always doing something bike related in the garage.
Whether its wrenching, cleaning or planning your next ride, possibly even staring at one of your bikes. Yes we all do that at some point so I'm not buying anyone's excuse who says different.
I was able to put my significant other onto one of my Bandits in 2011 as a complete novice to motorcycles. Then we went to spend a week traveling around the roads of North Carolinas Smokey Mountains.
Rachel enjoyed the experience so much, even when leaning into corners where I was scraping the centre stand, she was totally into it. On one particular day we spent nine hours on the road taking in scenic views and a few stops along the way.
She also concurs with me that the bike of choice to ride together on IS a GT750, we took some trips on my Calgary based Buffalo and she prefers the more comfortable seating position of the older bike.
Here's a moment caught in time from one of those days on the Bandit in NC 2011.

I have been riding since 74 non stop, never missed a year.
I can't even remember why I got interested in Bikes other than being a kid racing down the street making motorcycle sounds..lol..I think we all did.
My dad back in the UK rode a Royal Enfield until it was stolen then bought a new 1951 BSA 350.
he never rode a motorcycle here in Canada.

My first ride was on the back seat of a 305 Honda with rotted out exhaust..
Can you say LOUD
Now today I still have my last new bike a 83 BMW R80RT with 130.000 miles and still going.
The bikes Sandra likes are the Beemer, 72 Kawi H1 and the Suzuki GT's..All with Flat seat.
She really enjoys the GT 750 , smooth and comfy..
On the DVD a lady says she wants to be a 100 and still ride as she thinks no one has done this.
O yes they have.
While researching a race held here in Belleville in 1936 I found a guy who lives in N.Y who rode here to see the race. I have the newspaper article on him with his sister in the sidecar and him riding his Goldwing. They had stopped for Ice-cream and the Counter person thought this was amazing. They phoned the paper and the reporter rushed down to do the interview..he was 100 years old. sadly a few days later he passed away.

I love going for rides with my youngest son who now is in Alberta.
A ride is planned this spring when he returns for a short vacation.

You are spot on with your reply; my first experience on a bike was with my dad in the 60s, I was about 8 years old and pillion rider on a Suzuki A100. It felt like a rocket ship and I was smiling all the way, even though we didn't go fast, to me the acceleration did feel quick.
I started riding off road with a TC100L in 1975 then got involved in motocross with an RM125 by the late 70s. Funny enough i never owned a 250cc motocross bike, I went straight from the 125 to open class with the 500s. Riding a 500 is somewhat like what James bond once said,, its all in the wrist.
So back to road bikes,, I wanted my daughter to share that first riding experience I did, so I put her on my Calgary based Buffalo when she was about 13 years old. I pulled away slowly and she was just sitting there holding onto me. Then I said, "a bit faster"? and she said "OK" so I gave her a little roll on acceleration in second gear; she instantly clung to me and said "Dad thats insane" to which I replied "you ok"?, she said " I'm fine,,, do it again".
Its always great times when your children like the things you did as a child.
I bought the DVD from Ebay for $25.00 with free shipping, while stocks last. It is too good an offer to pass up.

:D :D :D
My close encounter too, was back in the '60, My uncle was tacking us to the football (soccer) match, A.C. Roma was the home team; I was glancing a huge billboard, about a movie "Bandiera gialla" [url]http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0062175/[url] when all of a sodden (no pun intended) the heel of my shoe went the nearest touch, too close to the spinning wheel (of a Morini '98); the outcome: 20 days going to school with a open-ended shoe, much to my shame.
Some years later, I found myself going to a club, then called the "Yellow flag" near via Veneto (you know your Fellini, don't you...) which upon a shift of management, was renamed "Bandiera gialla" again;

There you are...
