Nice find Craig.......
I went to an evening with Nick Jeffries and Ian Hutchinson on Friday, that was a most enjoyable night out. They are touring around, so go if you get a chance...
But even better than both of the above......I will be in the IOM myself in less than 4 weeks..can't bloody wait !

Hope you have a great trip and the weather is kind
I would love to have a lap round the course in race conditions (closed roads etc) on something like a modern 600. Just to see how far off a 100mph lap I'd be. Probably a V E R Y L O N G way off

Lap record for electric bikes is an average speed of 104.056 mph.
Outright record is an average speed of 131.578 mph.

T500 record is an average speed of 89.96 mph.

A few laps at race conditions would be fun. I've never done the ton so my laps would sloooow.
The Velocity channel in the US covers the TT. Have watched it the last few years.
Being a spectator at the TT is definitely on my bucket list.
Good luck at the race & have fun.

It's a question that will never get answered, but every year we speculate as to what lap speeds we could do with a closed road. I think my best chance would be on my R1, as you need to go very fast where ever you can to keep the average up, and the big bike will get you to the big speeds on the fast sections. All that said, I think 100 is a great achievement to be honest........
