1988 Ford Bronco II Eddie Bauer. Removed all rust from the body, complete repaint, new factory decals & emblems, reconditioned interior, lots of other odds & ends. Learning how do do it all took a lot of effort but was also very rewarding.

I will say I'm very glad to be back 'home' on this forum. Too many young rednecks on the truck forum who all seem to ask the same question "How do I put in a big engine and huge tires without spending much money?"

Thanks jabcb. And yes, pictures, absolutely. Rather than post them all here I'll just put up the link to the build thread: http://www.therangerstation.com/forums/ ... p?t=128403" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Luckily I was able to get to the rust before it really took hold otherwise it would have been more than I could have handled. There was also some severe paint fading on the top and the front bumper and fenders had been damaged in an accident.

Great work there Josh, it turned out really nice. Will you be using it for the Gap trip this year?

Thanks John. That's why I opted for the Mini-me version of the Bronco. 21hwy/18combined which is comparable with today's compact SUV's and when you consider it's 25 years old is downright amazing.

Ok then, there will be at least two Fords at the house, I'll be bringing my F150 XLT with the bike in the back.

Very dependable motors in those Bronco II's. Growing up, my buddy's dad put 200k on two seperate models. But, he was a maintenance nut. He bought them slightly used I believe. But sold them both at around 200k miles. Running better, than when he originally bought them.

Josh I have no choice but to drive, its a 15 hour trip for me each way and I have to bring some large items I cant carry on the bike.
Then in case you forgot, theres some other large heavy item(s) I have to take back with me.

That's good to hear stories like that Justin. Hoping the old 2.9L will be dependable for me as well.

Allan, Why don't you just put a luggage rack on your bike and stop complaining. After all it's only one buffalo engine :roll:
